Cviček

The characteristic drink of the Dolenjska region is cviček wine. It goes well with traditional cuisine such as Suho krajina žlikrofi, Suho krajina polenta, Barley, Štruklji, Fižolovka (bean soup), Matevž (a mixture of potatoes and beans), Žganci (buckwheat spoonbread), Ocvirkova potica (savoury potica with crackling), Poprtnik (a traditional Christmas bread), Trout.
